Hypnotherapy is a bottom-up approach, which means it works below your level of awareness, to influence the root cause of an issue, within your subconscious parts. With hypnotherapy we address your mental health as a product of your entire being. Knowing mental health runs deeper than your thoughts and feelings, we are able to transform the root cause of an issue that is manifesting itself in your life. Hypnotherapy involves a temporary relaxing of the conscious mind allowing helpful ideas to become deeply accepted by the subconscious. When these ideas are delivered with skill from a trained hypnotherapist and are aligned with your unique motivations they become a powerful source to deliver personal growth and transformation.

Sessions are approx 1 hour in duration. The initial session involves a consultation where we discuss circumstances unique to you. This is an inspiring and relaxed conversation for us to really get to the root of the issue you would like to work on. Following the consultation is the hypnosis portion of the session. Going forward, weekly sessions always include a follow-up conversation and hypnosis. At the end of hypnosis we always take some time to chat and set intentions for the week ahead. All sessions are recorded to be listened back upon unless decided otherwise.

During hypnosis it's common to feel like you have drifted into a light sleep state or dream-like state. Your imagination becomes heightened and sometimes your perception of time is altered. Compared to other therapies.
In 1970 a groundbreaking meta-analysis of hypnosis research studies were conducted by Alfred A. Barrios published in American Health Magazine. Led to the mainstream acceptance of hypnosis as an extremely effective form of therapy. Barrio’s compared 1,018 studies and articles on hypnosis, 899 articles on psychoanalytic therapy, and 355 on behavioural therapy. In particular he noted the overall lasting success rates of the different therapies. He found hypnotherapy had a 93% success rate after only 6 sessions, compared to a 72% success rate with behavioural therapy (after 22 sessions on average), and only 38% success rate with psychotherapy (after an average of 600 sessions).
